Olympic Athlete who protested anthem says she was set up by the BLM and CNN

Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry says she was “set up” after turning away from the flag during a medal ceremony at the US Olympic trials on Saturday night.

While the Anthem played, Berry turned, so she was not facing the flag. She picked up her black T-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head while the Anthem played. A total display of disregard to the nation that she represents.

“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the anthem. “I was pissed, to be honest. They know I hate America and that song. Why would they play that song in my presence? It’s the world Olympics not American Olympics.”

Apparently someone forgot to tell Mrs. Berry she was representing the United States.

BLM leaders and my CNN contacts promised me that I could say and do what I wanted with my hate for America and no consequences would come. Don Lemon said it would make me more popular. Now I might be banned from participating in the future. Where is the BLM now? CNN doesn’t have my back anymore. They set me up and threw me under the bus. America was never great.
